Release the tension in all layers of your being, so you can rest with your truest nature. For the first half hour we'll start with familiar Avita shapes, to begin the calming process. Then a little simple breath work will prepare us for a full 45 minute Yoga Nidra. Sometimes called the sleep of the yogi’s, Nidra is a three thousand year old art and science that takes you on a guided meditative journey through consciousness to an effortless state of being, between wakefulness and sleep. It’s a practice of non-doing, resting in a restorative position of your choice, you need only listen to instructions that guide you through a systematic letting go.
No experience of Avita or Nidra is required, nor any special props. But, bring your own Sankalpa, a traditional element of Nidra, which is a vow to our most authentic self and highest potential. A short statement, typically framed in the positive and present tense, it’s a heartfelt intention, or a declaration of our purpose.
