Sound bath: Equinox Harmony - In Studio with Othman Haddad

Sun Date: Sep 28 2025 From: 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
As the days and nights find their perfect balance during the autumn equinox, we too are invited to pause, breathe, and realign. This Sound Bath is a sacred moment to restore inner harmony — between doing and being, mind and body, heart and breath.

During this special session, you’ll be immersed in a rich, evolving landscape of sound. High, spacious frequencies will help clear mental fog and invite lightness, while deeper tones will gently anchor you into your body. This intentional interplay reflects the dance of balance that nature models at this time of year.

Through this carefully structured experience, you’ll be guided to welcome change with serenity, reconnect with your own rhythms, and cultivate a grounded, heart-centered stillness. The sound doesn’t fix or force — it reveals, softens, and rebalances.

It feels like bathing in sound instead of water. You lie down on a comfortable mat, close your eyes, and let yourself be carried by carefully chosen vibrations that speak directly to your body, your breath, and your emotional landscape.

This method has been developed and refined over 13 years, and shared in hundreds of sessions across the UK, Switzerland, Spain, Morocco, Sweden, and Italy.

Instruments may include Tibetan Singing Bowls, Crystal Bowls, Gongs, Frame Drums, Koshi Bells, and Rainsticks.

This session is not suitable if you are:
  • Less than 12 weeks pregnant
  • Currently experiencing severe or clinical mental illness
Please contact us beforehand at [email protected] if:
  • You have epilepsy
  • Recently had surgery
  • Suffer from a heart condition

Cacao & Sound Ceremony– A Journey to the Heart with Othman Haddad

Sun Date: Nov 23 2025 From: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Join us for a heart-opening ceremony where sound and sacred cacao come together to guide you inward — into stillness, truth, and resonance.

We will begin by sharing a cup of rare ceremonial-grade cacao, sourced from the top 1% of the world’s cacao production. Revered for centuries as a gentle yet powerful plant ally, this cacao is known for its ability to open the heart, clarify intention, and deepen connection — to self, to others, and to the present moment. Its non-invasive nature allows each participant to meet it at their own pace, while its potency offers real inner movement.

From there, you will be guided through a carefully crafted sound journey, tuned with precision and intention. Since 2016, we have offered these immersive ceremonies to hundreds of participants, with deeply transformative results. The sound — played with presence, sensitivity, and respect for the energy of the group and the sacred space — becomes a perfect ally to the cacao, amplifying its effects and helping you journey deeper within.

Through the subtle power of vibration and the ancient wisdom of cacao, this experience invites you to:

Rest into your own natural rhythm
Receive what your heart is ready to feel
Reconnect with your inner guidance
Step forward on your path of healing and learning

Let your heart lead the way.

Journey Back To Self - Somatic Breathwork - In Studio with Rebecca Dennis

Sat Date: Dec 06 2025 From: 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM
This conscious somatic breathwork workshop offers a variety of breathing techniques whilst gaining an understanding of the latest science on how we can upgrade our breathing and nervous system for optimum health. Providing a deep understanding of the impact the way we breathe has on every aspect of our lives – mentally, physically and emotionally.

We will be exploring breathing techniques to empower and shift our mental and physical states and regain balance. Most of us have experienced mental, emotional or physical trauma on some level, which can restrict our breath and capacity to fully feel. The resulting body armouring and muscular tension can endure and manifest over the years. Trauma changes our physiology in the brain and nervous system. Life altering events big and small can create a feeling of disconnect.

By consciously recognising trauma and unhelpful patterns through embodied somatic breathwork and supporting techniques participants will gain a greater sense of connection and freedom in their body and everyday lives.

Conscious breathing keeps us connected with our body and mind so we are more able to listen the messages and alerts being sent via the brain to the body and the nervous system.

This can help you let go of unhealthy breathing habits, such as shallow breathing, have a deeper understanding of breath patterns and release both physical and emotional past trauma and tension from the body. This can dramatically shift the way you feel in your body and bring higher states of awareness.

Please consult your medical practitioner to ensure therapeutic breathing techniques such as conscious connected breath are suitable for you. If you suffer from epilepsy, heart problems, have medical issues or psychological conditions such as high anxiety, bipolar, personality disorder this may not be suitable and we ask for you to contact Rebecca first. If you are seeing a psychiatrist, we request their consent for you to attend the class to email [email protected].

We ask all participants to read and sign the medical disclaimer before attending.

50-Hours Part 2: ASCENSION

This module bridges the gap between understanding movement and confidently teaching it. You’ll advance your own practice in inversions and backbends—while learning how to coach students through these postures with clarity, creativity, and precision. We’ll explore hands-on and verbal adjustments as a complete system— supporting activation, awareness, and trust across all posture categories. Each day blends technical movement practice with applied coaching and teaching labs.

Venue: Indaba Yoga Studio

Topics Covered:
• Developing and refining your own inversion and backbend practice
• Coaching inversions (Pincha, Handstand, entries and transitions) with progressive frameworks
• Understanding backbend mechanics: segmentation, spinal support, shoulder & hip integration
• Teaching progressions across mixed levels (privates and group classes)
• Adjustments across categories: standing, seated, balance, floor, and backbends
• How to adjust for awareness, activation, and nervous system safety—not just correction
• Spotting principles and hands-on application for higher demand skills
• Designing and delivering a skill-based workshop or class segment

*Each 50-hour module includes both in-person contact hours, completed during the scheduled training dates, and non-contact hours, to be completed independently through activities such as case studies, recorded content, self- practice, and related assignments. Full details will be provided at a later stage.

Eligibility and Prerequisite
This immersive will be an inclusive space for practitioners to learn and play. However, we require that you be comfortable exploring a range of arm balances, inversions, backbends, and transitions and willing to work with free-standing kicks to handstand in the middle of the room. It will be a demanding week of physical practice and learning. We will implement recovery time and protocols, but we also want you to walk in feeling confident and willing to put in the work to develop your practice.

Minimum requirements:

• Comfortable in most arm balances: Bakasana, Parsva Bakasana, Eka Pada Koundiyasana I & II, Astavakrasana
• Tripod Headstand and Sirsasana
• Working with Pincha Mayurasana and/or Handstand
• Urdhva Dhanurasana
• Wall assisted handstand of 20s

Can Students Join Just One Part?
- Part 1 is highly recommended before joining Part 2 as it provides the essential foundation for the advanced material covered in the second module.
- Students who have not completed Part 1 must undergo an application process to assess their readiness for Part 2. This process ensures that all participants are adequately prepared and able to benefit fully from the training.

Prerequisites for application include:
• Previous attendance of Inverted State of Mind classes with Miles.
• A consistent inversion and arm balance practice.
• A general overview of where the practitioner is in their yoga journey.
• If a yoga teacher, how long they have been teaching and in what capacity.

To apply, candidates must send an email to [email protected] addressing all of the above criteria. The application will be reviewed by Indaba and Miles, who will assess the participant’s readiness and provide a decision accordingly. In some cases, the teacher may follow up for further discussion if additional clarification is needed.

IMPORTANT: If a participant books Part 2 only without first completing this eligibility assessment, Indaba and Miles reserve the right to cancel the booking should the participant not meet the required criteria. In such cases, a refund will be issued minus a 15% administrative fee.

Accreditation

• The training is counted towards the 100-Hour
• 100 Hours (50h if you attend a single module) Continuing Education digital certificate will be provided to teachers after completion of the full training. All the modules must be attended in order to receive the certificate.
• This 100h training does not teach a fixed sequence but rather equips participants with the necessary tools and techniques to intergrade into their own classes and to develop intelligent, creative sequences independently

*To receive the 100-hour accreditation, you must complete both Part 1 and Part 2 within this course intake. Previous ISM training does not count toward this requirement. If you only complete Part 2 this time, you will receive 50 hours of credit, which does not qualify for 100 hour accreditation.

50h - Meridian Yoga: Using Acupoints in Asana - Training with Rose Erin Vaughan

Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun Date: Jul 01 2026 - Jul 05 2026 From: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
In this 5-day Hatha Yoga immersion, you'll explore the science of subtle energy anatomy and its connection to the myofascial system. Whether you're an experienced yoga student or a teacher, this course offers practical tools for integrating the 12 Energy Lines and dozens of acupressure points into your yoga practice, sequencing, and adjustments.
  • If you have taken previous meridian trainings, this one will offer new insights.
  • Learn how meridians and 5 Elements can enhance a vinyasa yoga practice
  • Learn to understand and create seqences for each of the 5 elements
  • Learn meridian based posture adjustments
  • Learn to see through the lense of the 12 meridan system
You will learn how to sequence postures to support each organ and its corresponding emotion, enabling you to craft personalised classes for your students or deepen your own practice. By applying targeted pressure to specific acupoints, you'll discover a safer, more profound method for helping students release long-held physical and emotional blockages. These acu-based adjustments will be taught and practiced daily.

The 12 Energy Lines bridge the subtle and physical realms, uniting the emotional and mental dimensions of yoga with the musculoskeletal, myofascial, and organ systems. Meridian-based asana makes this intricate system accessible and experiential. We’ll also explore key acupressure techniques to support personal wellness and self-awareness.

Disclaimer:

Our priority is to hold a nurturing and safe container for both participants and facilitators. My approach to breathwork is slow and gentle and Breathing Tree’s policy is that although certain advanced and dynamic breathing techniques can have powerful outcomes they must be held safely and responsibly and that contraindications be made clear.

Somatic Breathwork is a powerful healing technique and although usually a deeply relaxing and profound process, it can result in certain specific physiological changes in the body and physical and emotional release.

Please be aware that sessions can cause and are not limited to:

  • Tingling
  • Light headedness
  • Tetany
  • Physical sensations
  • Emotional release
  • Experience of energy/vibrations moving through the body
  • Memory recall
As a precaution, the following conditions are contraindicated for anyone thinking of practicing Somatic Breathwork. (For asthma we will adjust your breathing position so it is more beneficial) :
  • Pregnancy first trimester
  • Detached Retina or Glaucoma
  • High Blood Pressure (not controlled with medication)
  • Cardiovascular disease including angina, previous heart attack or stroke.
  • Diagnosis of aneurysm in the brain or abdomen
  • Respiratory Issues / Asthma
  • Epilepsy / Seizures
  • Prior diagnosis of bipolar disorder, personality disorder, schizophrenia or previous mental health condition.
  • Hospitalisation for any psychiatric condition or emotional crisis within the last 10 years.
  • Any recent operations or injury
It is essential that you consult Rebecca and/or your doctor, psychotherapist, or psychiatrist before engaging in Somatic Breathwork practice if you are unsure if it is a suitable practice for you. Please contact Rebecca with regards to any of the above to discuss before joining any sessions. [email protected]
