Open House~ 300Hr Yoga Teacher Training & Mexico Immersion (In Person or Zoom) with Katrina Marie Gustafson & Michael Shankara

Description: Come to Karma Yoga Center for a FREE Open House to learn all about our 300Hr Yoga Teacher Training Program and Mexico Immersion from April 10-19, 2026 Lead teachers Katrina Marie Gustafson and Michael Shankara will give a presentation followed by a Q&A. Sacred Saturday Circle: Reiki & Sound Bath with Crissy Horiuchi & Laurie Carr
Participants can expect an hour of beautiful, harmonious music from the crystal bowls, accompanied by gentle hands-on-healing, followed with time to sit in community and share.
Bring your intentions, desires to heal, that which you would like to call in and/or release, and join us in the vibrations of sound and Reiki.
About Crissy Horiuchi
Crissy is a nature-loving, magic-seeking, intuitive healer with over 25 years experience in the field of healing arts.
Beginning with work as an RN, having children, completing her 200 hour YTT, then receiving certification as a Reiki Master-Teacher, she enjoys offering experiences that mend and nurture one’s spirit.
About Laurie Carr
Laurie is a proud Wife and Mother, a creative, intuitive, and a life-long seeker of knowledge. She is a nurturing soul that has a background in the medical field. A former Podiatric Assistant, EMT, and Operations Supervisor of a wheelchair transport service, Laurie has always sought ways in which to serve others.
An instinctual Sound Healer (whose certifications include accreditation from the Complimentary Medical Association) Laurie utilizes Tibetan Singing Bowls (on and off body), Crystal Singing Bowls, and Tuning Forks (on and off body), among other instrumentation, in private and group sound baths.
Laurie’s passion for the healing offered through sound and vibration is evidenced by the beautiful harmony she creates while in community.

Dr. Arin Levy (they/them), founder of Enso Sounds, is a warm-hearted percussionist and sound artist with roots in Cuban-American heritage, currently residing in Denver, CO. Arin's lifelong journey with music has been enriched by the pursuit of degrees in western percussion, music theory, and experimental sound art. This unique blend of expertise is harmoniously woven with Arin's passion for mindfulness, cultivated through the study of meditation and yogic practices. Through their artistry and inviting spirit, Arin welcomes you to join them on a journey of soothing sounds and soulful exploration.

Sound Healing w/ April Maple: This experience will help you slow down, listen deeply, and tune into your body. Himalayan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, flute, chimes, tongue drum, crystal pyramid, soothing tones, and other instruments will assist you in this sonic journey. In this sound bath you have permission to simply exist as a human, clearing the mind clutter and recognizing your wholeness and leaving you feeling refreshed and renewed.
About April Maple
April received her Bachelors and Masters in Flute Performance, is 200 RYT certified, and a somatic therapist in training at Naropa. Sound has been the original teacher of mindfulness and listening for April, and she has been leading sound healings since 2018. April uses a combination of Eastern and Western modalities, musical training, and a slow and gentle presence as tools to create a brave space for healing, feeling, and resting.

We are delighted to welcome back Saul David Raye, a dear teacher and guide to studio owners Katrina Gustafson and Michael Sankara, for an afternoon of yogic wisdom, practice, and heart-centered connection.
Join us for this uplifting and nourishing journey as we explore the natural intelligence within our bodies, hearts, and spirits. Through gentle movement, pranayama, and soul-stirring chanting, we'll tap into the healing wisdom that lives within us all. At the heart of this practice is a call to live from the heart and cultivate greater presence, vitality, and connection.
Saul will guide you through practices that open the mind, breath, and heart, weaving together movement, music, and mantra. With guitar and harmonium, he'll lead us in sacred chanting that opens hearts and builds community, creating space for deep reflection and renewal. As we gather in this soulful sadhana, we remember the simple truth of returning to our natural way of being—one in harmony with the wisdom of the heart.

Color Meditation & Neurographic Art Workshop with Nadia Sperry
This workshop does not require any art skills, it is completely intuitive. The focus is on the creative process rather than the end result. This artistic practice is a unique blend of art, science, and mindfulness helping to promote relaxation, increase focus, and allow the mind to

Mike Cohen & The Shakti Groove, Colorado’s premiere Ecstatic Chant band, has captivated audiences since 2016 with their dynamic fusion of ancient mantras, catchy melodies and funky grooves. This high-energy band offers up an accessible and potent musical journey that uplifts and inspires. From the delicate and introspective to the joyously rocking, their emotionally rich original songs encourage you to participate - to chant, harmonize, clap and dance. Their events are “spiritual sing alongs,” and you are the choir.
Ecstatic chant events with Mike Cohen & The Shakti Groove attract both music enthusiasts who love improvisational music and chant fans who seek a moving experience. Mike Cohen & The Shakti Groove is comprised of Mike Cohen (vocals & harmonium), former professional saxophonist with over 25 years of chanting experience and founder of the Kirtan Leader Institute; Dawnia Dresser (vocals), a favorite local folk-rock artist; Michele Heaphy (vocals & harmonium), a lifelong musician and music educator; James Hoskins (cello), professional musician and member of Boulder’s “Sherefe” who performs his eclectic style of improvisatory music around the world; Bill McCrossen (bass), veteran of the NYC jazz scene with expertise in jazz, world music, and R&B and Ken Matarazzo (frame drums, cajon, riq), master percussionist who has studied and performed with groundbreaking American percussionist Glen Velez.
The group has collectively released four full length Kirtan albums and two EP’s of acclaimed music - all created with Grammy Award-nominated producer Ben Leinbach or Grammy winning producer Jeff Ciampa. Mike’s Shakti Gayatri won the Pop/Electronic category in Art Prize 2012; and his eternally delightful Om Shanti Om has been streamed over 800,000 times on the Insight Timer app, ranked in the top 5 of the “Chanting Mantras” category for years. Mike Cohen has trained thousands of aspiring Kirtan leaders since 2010 through his Kirtan Leader Institute (“KLI”).
